Hosting

GoldNET Smart Technologies provides hosting service exclusively to its web development clients.
The annual fee for a regular package is $120*. For websites with more intense hosting requirements (high traffic, large inventory with lots of images, resource-demanding scripts, etc.) we encourage hosting with third parties, as this is not our main area of service.

Our servers are located in buildings with high-tech security, environmental systems, digital surveillance, and conditioned uninterruptible power. Our customers have the luxury of not worrying about energy surges, rolling blackouts or complete loss of power due to the energy crisis. Back-up generators are capable of running indefinitely. The servers are located in the data facility in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

If a website developed by GoldNET is to be hosted on a third party server, here are the technical requirements:

• Apache (on Linux) with mod_rewrite support
• PHP 5
• MySQL 4.1 or above database
• ftp access (ssh access preferred, if possible)

Canadian clients pay in Canadian, and US clients in American dollars. The amount is the same. GST is charged to all Canadian clients. GST and PST are charged to clients in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada.
